While Arai and Shoei's threats are suspect, Motorcyclist Magazine takes the Chickin S*#t approach that we have come to expect from the publishing indrustry(caving to advertisers)

Of course motorcycle deaths are on the rise as the number of people riding has jumped over the last few years. You have to be your own protecter out there as very few others are looking out for you. Just my opinion!!! Sourced from facebook

Wow, terribly injust news for Mr. Ford. Sorry to hear it. Fantastic article and the most interesting industry news I've heard recently. I had my suspicions about Snell standards and such high-density foam impact absorption for years, but never heard of it well-researched and disputed.

It's unfortunate for all that Arai and Shoei put sales figures a higher priority than the riders their products are supposed to protect. What I don't understand is how Snell could have their head up their #$% with such scientific dispute illustrating their fallacies. Why?

Um, wasn't most (or all) of that helmet research printed in Motorcyclist's pages just a few years ago? I remember then that some of the Snell-certified helmet manufacturers pulled their ads. Seems weird to fire somebody now over the same issue.

I appreciate that Michael was a pioneer in motorcycle photography but prefer the edgier style of Shooters Images. they are new kids on the block but have a definite style and their work reflects an artistic, grittier side of the biker culture. you should do an article on them.

I used to love listening to old time radio and Johnny Dollar was right at the top of the charts! I even wrote a Dealernews column in tribute to Johnny Dollar and his ability to pad an expense account! Creative accounting doesn't get any better than this!
